JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the management and documentation of the College’s data servers. Provides for enhanced security by configuring login scripts, group policies, and user profiles to ensure efficient, easy to use computing resources for students, faculty and staff. Responsibilities include installation, configuration and management of the Server environment running LINUX, AIX, Oracle, and Microsoft BackOffice products including, but not limited to, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL. Also troubleshoots and repairs server problems; performs server optimization using performance monitoring tools and recommendations from Microsoft documents and manages user accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree in related field plus three years full-time related work experience required. Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered. Completion of three Microsoft Certified System Engineer CORE exams or equivalent required. A valid driver’s license & insurability to operate College vehicles is required. Experience with RAID servers, PC hardware, operating systems and related software preferred. Hiring process includes a background check. Official transcripts and certifications required at the time of hire. Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval.

Oversee and manage the activities, staff and results of the team. Ensure IT programs and policies are followed using the approved methodology. Salary:

-$18.26 per hour-Completion of one academic year of graduate level education, Bachelor’s degree with Superior Academic Achievement (as provided in Federal regulations), or five academic years of pre-professional study
-$22.34 per hour-Completion of two academic years of graduate level education, master’s or equivalent graduate degree
